Expect Assortment of Personalities

Expect an Assortment of Ladies

Julia Bettencourt

March, 2015

We need to expect all types of women in our groups. We have to teach them to get along, have fellowship, and move forward to serve Christ.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:16,17

I've divided up the women you may end up having in your women's group by different types of candy. It's a given that there will be all types of personalities in our groups. Plus, our women come from all walks of life, are different ages, have different interests, different family make-up, but we must all get along in the body of Christ.

As a women's leader, you will encounter...

  • Almond Joy – Gracious spirit. A joy to be around.
  • Dove – Peacemakers.
  • Fun Dip – Fun to be around. Happy people.
  • Godiva – Divas. Think life revolves around them.
  • Hot Tamales – Prone to bursts of anger.
  • Hugs – Embrace you.
  • Jawbreakers – Always have a bad word to say. Always talking about anything and anybody.
  • Jelly Bellies – Accept anything they hear whether it is truthful or not Scriptural.
  • Life Savers – They are always there to help.
  • Milk Duds – Throw cold water on everything you do. Negative attitude.
  • Mr. Goodbar – Think they are better than others.
  • Orbit – Always in another universe. Doesn’t pay attention.
  • Snickers – Tend to make fun of others.
  • Sour Patch Kids – Live life constantly on a sour note.
  • Sweet Tarts – Sweet on one hand but tart on their other. You never know what is going on with them.
  • Whoppers – Tend to lie and be untruthful.

It's like opening up a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get!

What? No Mailing List?

The answer is "no" I don't maintain one any more for a lot of reasons, but you can keep up with the Julia Bettencourt Ramblings Facebook Page for announcements of anything new on the website.

Keeping it Simple

I have reduced my social media to just Facebook and Instagram.
