Listen to the Team Manager!

In football, the team manager is the one who sets the direction of the team. He is the one in control. In women’s ministry, the Team Manager should be the Holy Spirit. We need to allow Him control over our personal lives as ministry leaders and over the entire women’s ministry in our local churches. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to give us direction.

Although the job description of a team manager varies from team to team, the following are some of the basic responsibilities of a team manager in football.

1.  Selecting Player Lineup

Sometimes this duty is shared or is in the hands of the coach as well, but in women’s ministry, you shouldn’t do anything without relying heavily on the Team Manager (The Holy Spirit). You are going to need direction when you begin selecting and appointing ladies to specific tasks and areas of service within your women’s ministry. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in this area.

2.  Planning Strategy

Allow the Holy Spirit to be in on the planning. Seek the Lord’s guidance with whatever plans you make. When we start making our own plans in women’s ministry we set out for failure or for a lack of blessing.

3.  Scouting

The Lord knows who’s out there that needs a place of service and who needs to be part of your women’s ministry. Pray that the Holy Spirit would lead you to those ladies.

4.   Marketing the Club (team)

You may think that marketing or publicity for women’s ministry is a small insignificant part, and you can do it on your own. Why not let the Holy Spirit take over and lead you to the areas that you can utilize?

5.  Growing Profit

In women’s ministry we are not building up a great team to market and make profit, but we do want to build up a great team to give glory to the Lord and see fruit and souls saved. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit so He can move and work with your women’s ministry. Let the all the growth and outreach made in your women's ministry be for the glory of the Lord!

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 (KJV)
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5 (KJV)
