Travel Party Event Theme – Julia Bettencourt Blog

I would love to do some real traveling someday. Usually I only get involved in short trips. You know, usually just somewhere here in California maybe an hour or two away. Sharing a traveling theme today for party and event planning. Hope you enjoy, even if you have to stay home and only travel on the internet. Hey! I’ve been to the best museums in the world even if my trips were only online. But who knows! Someday I may make it to the Louvre in person. We can all dream. Right?

You could go at this theme in all directions! (pun intended. Ha) Okay, you could focus on one place or country, go the “road trip” theme. This is a great theme for a missionary banquet. How about a Route 66 party? Just use your imagination and you will get there.

The event themes on the website can be used for showers, parties, women’s ministry retreats and activities, or church functions. Each theme will have one or several possible spiritual applications. I give you lots of info and ideas—You pick just a few to enhance your event. More ideas can be used for showers and parties, but less is always more for ministry events.

Simple Decorating

Simple Decor: Tray (or small suitcase opened up) filled with travel related items such as paper maps, compass, small globe, travel makeup bag, postcards. If you use a small suitcase you could have some clothing pieces spilling out over the edges.

Find out who has traveled the farthest. (Either by where they have traveled in their life or specifically to your event) Give out a small prize for the most distance traveled.
Ask, “Who has gotten lost on a trip before?” Have everyone share their experiences
If this is for a small group event, ask who has trip/vacation photos they want to share on their phones.

Travel Snacks – Combos, pretzels, chips, etc. Skip the peanuts—too many people with allergies.
