Simple Objective: Know Jesus more.

Make it Personal: Share a story of one of your favorite teachers.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 (KJV)

That verse in John 14:6, says that Jesus is the way. If we are Christians, we already know that because that is how we came to Salvation. Jesus is the only way. But after accepting Salvation, how much have we really put into the effort to know Jesus better?

Jesus is our Great Teacher, so let’s get to know Him better. Let’s hang on every word. Let’s take notes. Let’s get to class early. Let’s focus on what the Lord has to say. Let’s get to know Jesus more and more, and bring those apples of appreciation for all He does for us.

And if we are going to get to know Jesus, just like our earthly teachers, we are going to have to learn what He expects from us. We will find our direction in that beautiful textbook, God’s Word. There is so much that Jesus says in His Word of the behavior which He expects of us as Christians.

Pray (Matthew 6)
Love (Matthew 22:35-40)
Spread the Gospel (Matthew 28:19, 20)

Jesus said so many things for us to think about and ponder. He is the ultimateTeacher. These three things are just some of the lessons He taught us, but if we could just do these three things, just think how much we could accomplish for the cause of Christ.

As disciples and the students of Jesus, we must get to know Him better. It’s how we learn to live the Christian life to its fullest.
