Summer Writing Prompts

Summer is almost here so I thought it would be a good time for some related writing prompts. I get questions all the time about how to write devotionals for women, and I do have a lot on the blog to help you with that. However, I think sometimes it’s easier, especially if you haven’t written much of anything, to go back to just simple writing. Writing just a few paragraphs for a journal or just writing in a notebook about something can help improve your writing skills so much.

It’s all about writing what you know!

Summer Writing Prompts

I wrote stories, poems, and all kinds of things from the time I was a kid. I never started out writing devotionals. I grew into it. And I don’t think I would have gotten the hang of it unless I had my writing skills formed already. You have to start somewhere and what’s better than to write about something that has happened to you, what you know, or what you think about something.

I hope these summer prompts will help you improve your writing skills or even just help you relax. Relaxing is a lot about what writing is for me. It’s a big stress reliever. Many times I don’t just write devotionals, I like to go back to basics and journal or write about just common everyday occurrences or maybe something that I remember that’s been on my mind a lot. It not only helps me relax but helps keep my writing sills in tow.

I hope you will try some of these even if you have never tried writing anything before. You might find writing can be a big stress reliever for you as well.
