Resolved & Willing Book Launch

Hello my friends! So glad you are here with me to help celebrate the launch of my newest devotional collection, Resolved & Willing: A Devotional Collection for Christian Women. This is the last book in the Lovely Lady Series that I will be doing. Other new devotional books are coming though!

Book Launch Party

I’m so happy to have you here at my Online Launch Party. Enjoy!

The doorbell is chiming!

I hear the doorbell ringing. Swish and a little creak…the front door is opening wide and there you are! I am so overjoyed to have you here. Come on into the air conditioning and cool off a bit. I live in California so it’s hot here for sure today.

Please step inside and enjoy a cold beverage!

One of my daughter’s and my favorite thing these last few summers is making Italian Cream Sodas with just some sparkling water over ice and a little heavy whipping cream. Yum! I’m leaving you with a couple recipes for them. You can make them a little more flavorful with syrups and fresh berries, but we usually do it the easy 3 step way and it’s a great summer drink. We use ICE brand sparkling water when we make them.

Enjoy the party music!

I love all kinds of music, but I especially enjoy hymns. “I am Resolved” is one of those that was sung frequently at church when I was growing up.

Please sit down at the game table!

One of the devotions in this new book is “Going on a Stay-Cation”, so I thought we could play a few vacation games.

Please get comfy for a book reading (excerpt)!

One of my favorite devotions in this book is “Time Travelers”. As an author I am not sure if I am supposed to have a favorite, but I love discussing historical Christian women. Here is a little excerpt for you concerning Fanny Crosby.

Excerpt from Resolved & Willing
From the Time Travelers Devotion

“Next we arrive at New York in the early 1800’s.  Here we meet Fanny Crosby who was one of our great hymn-writers.  Fanny was born in 1820, and probably is one of our best known American Christian women.

She had an eye infection  as a baby and ended up blind, but it didn’t seem to discourage her.  In her lifetime Fanny Crosby wrote close to 8,000 hymns. Her words have inspired and comforted so many people, not just during her lifetime, but her impact goes on and on…

So, are you impacting history?”

Party Chatter!

I always like mingling at parties and catching up with people. Don’t you? Of course you know I want to chatter about this book. Bahaha! There are 21 devotions included. They are a collection of miscellaneous devotions that I’ve written over the years, and revolve around Christian living in general.

The full contents is not on Amazon (at least at the moment), so find the full list of titles in this book here. (There is a blank page between the two content pages so don’t miss the whole list.)

One of the devotions included is one of my really old ones called, “A Matter of Opinion”. We all tend to chatter about our opinions. Don’t we? Whether they are wrong or right. Whether they are loud or timid. Whether they are honest or dishonest. We usually like to tell other people our opinions.

Need a self check up to gage your opinions?

Another devotion included is “Self on a Shelf”. That’s one of those things that’s probably a struggle for all of us.

Ready for a Pride Check-up?

Thank you for coming to my party!

I hope you all have enjoyed yourself. It has been a pleasure chatting to you. Be sure to pick up all the party favors scattered throughout the post. And please leave a comment and let me know you attended the party.

You can purchase my new book through Amazon.

Have a lovely day,
Julia
