First, thanks so much for all the emails about the website relaunch. If you haven’t heard, I’ve relaunched my website with lots of things for my women’s ministry friends. I will continue adding event and party themes here on the blog. I know so many of you use them not only for women’s ministry, but for all types of events and celebrations. So I will still be doing those here on the blog.
Today I thought I’d put up one of my old event themes for you. Since the holidays are coming up before long, I thought concentrating on our hands would be good. I think about all of you who do all those things with willing hands around the holidays, like working in soup kitchens, charity work, and all kinds of things.
This makes a great women’s ministry theme, because what’s better than talking about willing hands and willing hearts? It all revolves around that love Jesus wants us to show, so I think a theme on hands can be a great motivator to do some good in the world.

The event themes on the website can be used for showers, parties, women’s ministry retreats and activities, or church functions. Each theme will have one or several possible spiritual applications. I give you lots of info and ideas—You pick just a few to enhance your event. More ideas can be used for showers and parties, but less is always more for ministry events.

Simple Decorating
- Not sure I would really use any kind of themed decor with this one. I’d probably stick to just making everything nice and welcoming.
- If doing this in the winter, you could clip several mittens on a string.
