I’ve received a lot of feedback on the Big Inspirational Movie List that I put together (with the help of all you wonderful blog followers!). And again, so many of you blog and Facebook followers have helped me out with this new one for Christmas. Thank you!
Are you ready for some Christmas movie watching? I am! 2020 has taken a lot out of me. I need a snuggly blanket, a little popcorn, and some fun movies. Yes! Even movies that are a little corny, because we all know there are a lot of corny, romantic, and crazy Christmas movies.
Confession–I have already started watching Christmas movies. I’m calling it research for this list. I usually start Christmas movie watching closer to Thanksgiving.
Movie Ratings
Just so you know, the movies on this list are mostly rated up to PG. A few are NR, which is non-rated, but that’s not good or bad. It just means they didn’t go through the rating process for some reason or another (usually because of how it was released). But anyway, always preview a movie before watching it with a group of people. That’s just sound advice no matter what the rating or where you get the movie suggestion from in the first place. What’s Not Included:
This list doesn’t contain animated movies, and you will notice I left off a few of the really popular Christmas movies. I did put some of the classics on here, but I was hoping to get a list of ones that aren’t just the old standbys in favor of some that maybe some of us haven’t ever watched. Thanks to all of you who gave me your suggestions.
By the way, there are several Hallmark movies on this list, but there are tons of those, so of course I couldn’t list them all. I did try to list some of my favorite Hallmark movies and some given to me by my followers.
Oh, and I know so many of you suggested, “The Bishop’s Wife”, but I didn’t list it. And I know so many of you will suggest it to me again when I put this post up, so I thought I’d explain. That movie just is such a perplexity to me. I get the whole idea of the angel helping the bishop learn to see what is truly important, but the wife in the movie just slays me. I mean…what married woman (especially to a bishop) goes skating arm in arm with another man? And what wife accepts a gift like a hat from another man? She doesn’t know he is angel. She just thinks he is a man.
That movie just makes me so uncomfortable. If you like it, go ahead and keep on enjoying it. I know almost everyone in the world but me likes it. And it’s a heartwarming Christmas movie. I’ve seen it lots of times, especially growing up. But now, I just can’t ever enjoy it no matter how much I like watching Cary Grant or no matter how much I love old movies. I try watching it again almost every year and every time I have to turn it off. It gives me anxiety.
Okay, there you have it. Enough said. Feel free to ignore my ramblings. I tend to ramble on about how I like movies or how I don’t like them.

Hope you enjoy! I, of course haven’t been able to watch all of these movies. I watched all the trailers I could find and many of the movies I have watched several times over the years. There are some though that people recommended that are new to me, but the trailers look good, so there are many on the list that I’m going to work through and watch.
