Let’s Stress Less Stress

It’s so easy to get stressed over things. Isn’t it? I think, especially as women, that we have a knack of making more work for ourselves, or stressing over things in disproportion to what they really are. Sometimes I just have to stop and just focus a minute to get things into perspective.

Inspirational Images to Encourage and Motivate

I was thinking how that word, “bless” only rhymes with the word, “stress”. Just because they rhyme doesn’t mean they are anything alike. They are really at opposite ends of the spectrum. When I am feeling blessed and really grateful for the things that the Lord gives me in my daily life, all that stress seems to melt away. Is it like that for you?

When I am feeling stressed I get…

overwhelmed, grumpy, out of sorts, unmotivated, feel unloved, and all sorts of things.

When I am feeling blessed I get…

encouraged, happier, kinder, motivated, feel loved, and all other sorts of things.

I’ve had so many comments and messages from some of my women’s leader friends that feel like during this pandemic that they feel overly stressed. It basically boils down to that things are out of their control, because they can’t do any planning for real time events because some just don’t know when that will be a reality. Other things weigh in too, especially when it comes to doing things virtually for ministry. It’s so hard to know how effective you are being.

Please don’t get overwhelmed!

Believe me, I understand where you all are coming from on this. I always feel inadequate though when women’s ministry leaders think I have some answers for this, because I just don’t know how to help. I think all you can do when it comes to women’s ministry right now, is just do your best. Pray for your ladies. Stay in touch. Keep them motivated to continue with Bible reading and study and all those things like you would do in real life. I know some are meeting up again with precautions in place, but still, we know that it isn’t the same as pre-pandemic. I do understand all the stress, but I also know you can’t fix things that are out of your control. So please! Don’t stress! Just do the best you can with what you have available to you.

Okay, I know you are all trying to encourage other people right now too, and I’ve had several requests for more of these little graphics you can share through social media. These images were made in PicMonkey. I love using PicMonkey for quick graphics to use on my social media accounts. I do have my own graphic program, but I’d rather pay a little for PicMonkey every month and it be quick and easy.
