Encouraging Bible Verses for Letter Writing

I recently shared some inspirational complimentary letter closings with you to help you with your letter and card writing. Today I thought I’d share my list of Bible verses that I like to draw from when I feel led to write one out on a card or letter.

Encouraging Bible Verses for Letters

There is nothing more encouraging than the Bible, and there are tons more Bible verses that I feel like could be great for letters and cards. The ones on my list are just ones I’ve enjoyed using in the past. There might be some you’d like to add to this after you print it out.

I am not going to write out these verses word for word, but just the references on the list. I figure everyone will want to use whatever Bible version they prefer anyway, so just look them up. It’s always nice to look up verses and read through a passage so you know where a Bible verse you are using is coming from anyway. That should just be something we always do.

  • 1 Peter 5:7
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:16
  • 2 Corinthians 4:16
  • Deuteronomy 31:8
  • Hebrews 4:16
  • Hebrews 6:10 (to thank ministry workers)
  • Isaiah 26:3
  • Isaiah 40:31
  • Jeremiah 29:11
  • John 14:27
  • John 16:33
  • Joshua 1:9
  • Lamentations 3:22-23
  • Philippians 1:6
  • Philippians 4:4
  • Philippians 4:7
  • Philippians 4:13
  • Philippians 4:19
  • Proverbs 3:5-6
  • Psalm 23:1
  • Psalm 34:8
  • Psalm 36:7
  • Psalm 62:6
  • Psalm 91:4
  • Psalm 94:19
  • Romans 15:13
  • Romans 8:28

You can see by just glancing at the references that many of these are what we term “popular” Bible verses or “familiar” ones to many Christians. That’s really the point I think. Many people are encouraged when they hear a familiar Bible verse that they have maybe memorized in the past or that may already mean something to that person.

Oh, and you can tell I like the fourth chapter of Philippians. Such good stuff there!

Some of these Bible verses on this list are the ones that just uplift me and give me strength when I hear them quoted. The first one on the list is one that I’ve had to remind myself of a lot while going through this shelter in place stuff.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. Feel free to leave a comment and tell me what Bible verse has been uplifting you the most lately.

Have a lovely day,
Julia
