First of all–Happy Fall!! I thought I after such a long break from posting that I would get back to it (at least for a while). It’s been a long break for me and I am getting anxious to start blogging and writing once again.
Starting Monday (October 11) I thought I’d begin by offering you back some of my older women’s ministry material where themes and devotional writing starters are concerned.
I have had a lot of trouble with some women bloggers offering my women’s ministry material online. A few bloggers are offering my themes as bundles to download and a few have them in hidden subscription areas on their websites.
These ladies usually change the titles slightly, change a few bits of wording from my own, and go from there. If you see any of these, please contact me. I can really only do so much about them as copyright issues are a pain and I can’t deal with all of them, but it helps to know where they are.
When it comes to such massive copyright violation as I get from my women’s ministry material, I really do have to pick and choose who to contact and how much time, money, and effort I want to put into the whole thing. Sometimes for those who have smaller websites and won’t comply, it is easier to just leave it alone.
I feel my best recourse right now is just to offer for free some of the things of mine these women are charging for online. I feel that will do the most good and hopefully our women’s leaders will stop supporting these copyright violators financially.
Since I’m not planning on offering these particular things in future books of mine, I would rather offer some of these things myself again so that my visitors and followers get the original, along with making sure you don’t have to pay for the material. I of course won’t be putting back everything I offered previously, but I will try to get the women’s ministry devotional theme “starters” and event themes back up for you as that seems to be the thing that copyright is broken on most and from which others are receiving financial gain from my material.
