I’m still making just a few adjustments to my blog because in the near future I won’t be online so much. Just wanted to add a little index page today to some book club resources to leave on the blog.
I’m always a big advocate of reading and reading with other people and book clubs are a great way to not only make friends, but also get feedback and discuss what you have been reading yourself.

Christian Book Club Resources (Online)
Some of our biggest Christian publishers offer book club discussion guides to help you with your Christian book clubs. Sure, you may want to add or take away from their guides, but it’s easier to get started when you don’t have to begin from scratch.
Bethany House Publishers
They offer book guides for many of their popular books.
Tyndale House
You can search to find discussion guides of their books.
Intervarsity Press
They offer discussion guides with quite a few of their books.
Harper One
If you aren’t familiar with them–they publish books of inspiration from various faiths. You can pick up small group book guides on many of their books. There is a “view or download guide” link under the book descriptions.
Lifeway
If you are going to use a Lifeway book for bible studies or book club, be sure to grab all the freebies they have for each book. Click on a title and scroll beneath the book info and see “Free Bible Study Resource” It will be in a light gray/blue block. There are book samples and all kinds of media info in the Church Promotional Tools that you can use for advertising your study or book club. Many of you already use their materials, so be sure to take advantage of their “freebies”. They also have some good tips on “Starting an Online Book Club“.
General Book Club Resources (Online)
There are tons of book club resources online. I’ve just listed some I am familiar with and thought would be useful.
Good Reads Church Clubs
See what other churches from around the world are reading for their book clubs.
Reading Group Guides
You can use their “Find a Guide” to see if there is a discussion guide for the book for which you are interested. Also look under “For Book Groups” on their menu to find lots of tips and helps for starting reading groups.
Book Browse
You can find book guides on a lot of popular books from a variety of genres. They also have several articles for starting and maintaining a book club here. Be sure to read their “Book Club Health Check” if you need to evaluate your book club.
Penguin House
You can find their book guides for many of their popular books. Click on the “read more” links on their book lists and not the “title”. (The title links do not work on their book guides page list.) When you get to the book, look under the cover photo for a “Reading Guide” link. They also offer “teacher guides“, and these can serve you well in your classic book clubs as many of the guides are for classic books in literature.
Random House
They offer book guides for many of their popular books.
Simon & Shuster
Just click on the book and scroll beneath the book description to find the “Reading Group Guide” for that particular book.
Thanks for stopping by. I trust that you will find these resources useful.
Have a lovely day,
Julia
