CHICKEN DEVOTIONAL ALMOST DONE

And I am sooo EGGscited!! Going to use an egg carton, with plastic eggs and each egg will have one of the following, a little eggsplanation and a Bible verse.

Easily EGGSITABLE-one whom wakes up singing, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, ready to face whatever God has planned for that day, and have a good time doing so. Psalm 118:24

EGGSAGERATION-we all know people whom embellish, like the fisherman who brags about the whale size fish he caught, that just happened to get away. It was actually the size of a goldfish but that doesn’t get the attention desired. With Jesus no eggsageration is needed. He is able to do more than we could ever conjure up in our human minds. Ephesians 3:20,21

Some are EGGSTROVERTED, the life of the chicken coop, while struttin’ their stuff. Not you? Are you a real chickien when it comes to sharing your faith? Remember what it says in Joshua 1:9

you get the idea...and then on the table as a favor, mom is making little chickies out of wool, and stuffing them. Nice take home don't you think? And going to go through my sister chick books and use some of those as take home reading as we always give books at the PJ party.

BUT the one thing I am needing is a short spiritual checklist, am I growing spiritually kind of thing? Anyone have one they are willing to share? Would be much appreciate.

This reminds me of a devotion that I have held onto for at least 5 years now - never did use it.
Not doing much with the WM at this time and miss it.
Anyway I had planned on doing a "Hen Party."
The devotion is entitled "Life in the Chicken Coop."
Starts out like this:
Once upon a time there was a chicken coop, and in that coop there were 5 hens - chicks they called themselves because they didn't like the fact that their feathers were turning gray and their onnce smooth, subtle beaks were turning hard and wrinkled. Life in the coop had made them that way........
Let's take a closer look at these hens... at a distance they all seem the same, they all lay eggs, they all scratch and they all cluck.....and they all hoped that one day they would be the kind of chicken that KFC would want; but time was passing by and it was looking like it may be too late to end up at KFC.
The first hen's name was fearful feathers, the second hen's name was busy beak, the third hen's name was cluttered cluck, the fourth was discouraged doodle and the fifth hen's name was secret snatcher.
Each had a reason for the name that they had for each had developed a certain way of dealing with the coop they were in.

and on and on the story goes.

Sounds cute! I did our last m/d banquet "Happy in the Henhouse." It's a fun theme! I have a funny and very easy skit written for it, PM me if you are interested.
